SHARJAH, 13th September, 2023 (WAM) - Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of UAE Cybersecurity Council, said the UAE is on track to become an artificial intelligence (AI) state by 2071.
This will be achieved through promoting a cybersecurity culture and utilising various modern technologies with secure protection in cooperation with key partners, he added.
He then pointed out that the UAE's strategy is based on spreading this culture, governing related policies and procedures, and developing productive capabilities not just for cybersecurity. This has been observed in many national institutions and companies, he noted.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), during the participation of the Cybersecurity Council for the Government of the UAE in the activities of the 12th edition of the International Government Communication Forum organised by Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) under the theme "Today's Resources.. Tomorrow's Wealth", at Expo Centre, he said that the council held several workshops on promoting the culture of cybersecurity, enhancing government communication.
He highlighted how artificial intelligence is used to counter threats and cyberattacks on the country's communication system.
The UAE Government Cyber Security Council has launched the "Cyber Pulse" initiative, which aims to ensure a safe digital transformation for individuals and sectors in the country. The initiative is designed to enable the use of digital technology in a safer environment and contribute to the country's goals of sustainable development, he added.
