You attend a higher education institution and must participate in the Credential Assembly Service (CAS). The CAS must be submitted by the Admissions Council of the Faculty of Law and you must register for the CAS with your application for this year. Sources: 2

Applicants must take the law entrance exam (LSAT) if they want to enrol this year, and this is the most important part of their application process. You can submit your application to a law school before taking the LSACAT, but not afterwards. Sources: 2, 7

Normally it takes three weeks for the LSAC to publish your results after the test date, but it releases them on test dates. To take this into account, you can also assign your school to receive your grades when they are available. Sources: 7

If you have not yet taken the LSAT, make sure you are ready to attend the exam of your choice and register early to ensure that you are placed at the test center of your choice. Once you have taken your LSat, your application will include a list of all your most recent LSAC results from the last five years, as well as your name, address and telephone number. Sources: 5

At the UNM School of Law, applicants must apply at least three months before the start of law studies. Applications are available online and in person at the University of New Mexico Law School Office of Public Affairs. Sources: 0, 5

The Admission Board assigns the completed application to the Admission Committee. Once the application is ready, the decision can take three to four weeks, or six to eight weeks from the late autumn semester onwards. Fees and waivers: LSAC waivers cover multiple application fees for its services and may be the best way to reduce associated costs. If you are approved by LSac and apply to HLS, your application fee will be waived at the time of application. The College of Law waives your application fee from LSAC, which grants waivers to applicants based on need. If you apply to HLS with a GRE score and are unable to apply for waiver of fees directly from HLS, please complete the waiver form. All applicants for the College of Law must apply via LSAC.org, the LSAT website or through the Law School application form. All students should submit their application to the admissions authority of their law school within 30 days of the end of their senior year. The transferee may not be on probation in any form and must be able to continue his studies at the Faculty of Law He or she has participated before. Applicants must have at least one semester of full-time law school experience. At the request of the applicant, the Faculty of Law can make an admission decision on the basis of one-semester grades after an early review, or it can decide to wait until the second semester with grades.
